Terms of ServiceSHIPPING:
Shipping options available are USPS mainly, but we also use UPS for big ticket items. All packages will be sent insured with signature and delivery confirmation to CONFIRMED PayPal addresses ONLY. We normally ship out within one business day but on occasion allow 1-2 business days
(Monday-Friday) for processing and shipping of ready to ship items. If an unforeseen circumstance was to occur, that will delay shipping (illness/shipping system problems, etc.), you will be notified. Any special or unusual size orders, please contact us about processing and shipping times.
We are always happy to combine the shipping for you. The system should do it automatically, but if there is an error, I will refund overpaid amount. Please email us ahead before placing your order, because there is a possibility of being able to put up to four standard patterns into one Priority mail envelope which will save you a lot in shipping. :-)
US Customers ONLY: For large orders, the maximum shipping and handling charge for US customers is $6.50 when you order 5 (FIVE) or MORE sewing patterns in the same order. This is our way of giving you a discount for large multiple purchases. If you order each item separately, there will be no discount although your purchases may be sent all in one package.
Unfortunately, January 2016, the US Postal Service increased the postage cost on international mail. Unfortunately, we have to increase our postage charges for international shipments significantly. We do apologize for having to do this. We have tried to be as fair as possible when setting up our postage and shipping costs after much study of past sales and in light of the new prices. We want your business, so in some instances WE will be subsidizing your shipping costs for patterns that may be heavier than normal as our shipping prices are set up for the average pattern weight of 3-4 ounces.
If you would like an order to be shipped via Priority mail, please ask us ahead of time so that we can weigh and figure the cost and send you an invoice. With the new rates, Priority mail flat rate envelope to Canada is around $20.00 and to other international sites such as the UK and Australia it will be $24.00. Other Priority scenarios are much higher cost.
You will always get the best deal on shipping when ordering all your patterns in one order/invoice. Please be aware, though for international customers, that a large order may trigger customs duty and taxes that will be at your expense.
All international packages will carry a customs sticker with the contents noted and the selling price. Please don't ask for false invoices or items to be shipped as gifts, we will not do that. Please be aware though that a large order may trigger customs duty and taxes that will be at your expense. VAT is NOT added onto your total bill. We are located in the USA and have no way of collecting and submitting VAT to the different countries around the world. Although we mail promptly we can not guarantee the arrival of your package within a specific time frame.
Here at The Goodie Boxx Shoppe, we are a smoke and pet-free environment. We are highly sensitive to strong smells and animal hair. We use fresh shipping materials only. Each package with receive high quality care and will be accepted by the carrier. An email will be sent to assure that your package is on its way and was accepted and is now on route to you. Again, communication with our customers is HIGH PRIORITY here.
The shipping rates that you see under on our listings, are reflecting only for buyers that reside in the 48-intercontinental US States. If you are customer outside of the intercontinental 48- US States- please convoy us before making a purchase so that we can get you information on shipping options.
PayPal is the only payment method we will accept at our store. We have accepted money orders and checks in the past but due to chronic complications with these payment methods (bouncing, check fraud, or just plain lost in the mail) we prefer to only deal with one reliable payment method. PayPal accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Orders will only be sent to a confirmed PayPal address ONLY. If you do have any questions, feel free to convoy us.
All Ohio residents will pay a 7% state sales tax, which will be added to your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final unless we have made a mistake due to order filling error. Please be sure to ask any questions you may have prior to purchase. Items returned to us without contacting us first will not be acknowledged or refunded. All shipping and handling charges are non-refundable unless you are returning or exchanging defective merchandise or the merchandise was sent in error. Please make sure all products are packaged securely and properly to avoid damage when returning or just exchanging something.
PATTERNS & SELECTED ITEMS
There are absolutely no refunds, returns, or exchanges on patterns and certain select items. Select items will be notated as such in their listing. . Please clear up questions and concerns PRIOR to placing your order. Thank you.
There are absolutely no refunds or returns on these items. Exchanges are done ONLY on certain individual special circumstances. For example, one button in a set was broken during shipment...that would be a special circumstance. We would replace that button. Please clear up questions and concerns PRIOR to placing your order. PLEASE read ALL store policies and address all questions before completing purchase. Thank you! We respond normally in 24 hours EST (USA time). We are glad to answer them.
A NOTE ABOUT PATTERN PURCHASES:
A lot of the inventory has minor storage wrinkles and slight tears from normal pattern drawer storage. Old vintage patterns that may be in our inventory of course may have yellowing, tears, wrinkles from age. Most of our inventory are factory folded and are in mint condition in the envelope. Vintage could possibly have been cut, but may have yellowing due to age. This will be noted in the description under the listing. A lot are in mint condition as we have noticed. Detail on the condition of each pattern we sell will be noted accordingly.
Many of these patterns have cuts, tears, or even taped up areas on them. Many times the envelope bears the brunt of the damage. Some envelopes have been torn open, or are missing the closing flaps, or have store stickers or stamps on them. I have seen many patterns and envelopes that have writing on them from the original owners. I try to be honest in my descriptions and let you know what defects the items may have. You are buying these patterns "as is". I check each pattern to make sure all the pieces are there. If a pattern is incomplete, it will be noted of that defect in the item listing. Most patterns we sale are never used, and factory folded with pattern instructions included. We have been in the situation in the past where after driving 25 miles to a fabric store for a pattern, only to find that part of the directions are missing/stolen taken out at the shop. Not a great thing when one is in the middle of going to work on something. Again if you have any questions about a pattern, feel free to contact us before making your purchase. We are here to help!
